And finally...paying homage to the "captain", on the right, we have ΔΗΜΟΚΡΙΤΗΣ...Δημοκρίτης, α γρεατ γαϊ. That's not Greek to me!
By the way, in English, when you don't understand something, we say "That's Greek to me!". Now, then, what do the Greeks say? "It's.........to me!"

Next, observe the DaDa isms ...Mike Dickau stamps: "FishFinger", and oh, Bifidus...see that "Great American Fishalo" (it could happen to you if we don't see a HUMAN portrait of ya!)
)

Human? right on...wait a minute, there is more from Erni. Well, more details not-to-be-missed. The package had all sorts of wonders and messages (besides "FREE TIBET")...and then inside is Chinese food? duh? Anyway...
here is a profound statement, and we, in Greece, want to be sure that EVROPA and especially Germany, understands that you "owe us"!
(a donation of a few billion euro will be acceptable, thanks)

Great work, Erni. Katerina points out the obvious: smell and touch can't go through the internet. I think that's why Haptic mail art is important. It emphasizes the exchange (and the relationship) between sender and receiver which no one else can experience or participate in. At the risk of sounding dopey, I think it's more human. More special.

Sorry, THIS is the "Chinese Food"...
(from Shanghai Dong Mei Import and Export Co.Ltd.) swishy, soft like sand, and wondrous!

4.) haptic for sure...
is the "Chinese Food" (from Shanghai Dong Mei Import and Export Co.Ltd.) swishy, soft like sand, and wondrous!

Colorful and full of great paper textures is the collage underneath (sorry, it is a pity that smell and touch cannot come over the internet),

and then on the back "Dong Mei" by Erni...text and prison and hotel, etc.
I must reread several times for meaning and in-depth thought process.

3.)the contents...
'twas very colorful, swishy soft, and with a nice note, (thank you, Ernie) and indeed a statement that this is "haptic for sure".

2.)opening the package...
was carefully done once I returned home...just in case something "alive" might squirm out and run to the street and then we might have roadkill! Anyway, I spent the time carefully examining all the markings on the outside (details later). I cut along one edge and out came a well wrap "something".

For details of Cheryl's "World", see the "SECRET" blog,(is there a "group" for that project, Cheryl?) Anyway, I am computer handicapped when it comes to blogs (I still cannot get text in between photos, nor photos in order..they post in reverse series...sigh).
For Herr Haptic's package, however, what better place to "show and tell" than here at our groupo:
1.)The package....
arrived today but postman brought only a notice as it was "too large" for her to carry (?), so therefore I ran up to the post office, took a number (#123) and waited, and waited, and waited until my "number was up" and was able to get the package in my hot little hands.

Happy Haptic Day is when a package arrives from Erni Bar...and on the same day (though not the same time nor the same place) as "World is a Town" from Cheryl Penn.
I ask you, what more could a gal ask for?
Wait...let me post a few more pics of this haptic event.
