Fun to see the map bit. My mother grew up in Mapleton. Good Thunder was the name of the chief of a small band of Dakota living in the area. Those towns are found in the county called Blue Earth, named that because the soil is black and rich and has bluish clay in it. Wowzer of a piece, Karen.

The tiniest piece of a map! Do you see it? "Good Thunder"...a real name of a place in Minnesota. I hunted it up, found it...even has a little "Route 66" going there! the black "eye" is of soft felt, the screen...corrugated cardboard...a symphony of textures!

It is poetry, they both are! TWO mini-collages from Karen! I'm afraid if I blog 'em they would get buried in the midst of other blogs...and they are soooohaptic, and soooo poetic. Look what arrived in today's mail (many wondrous things, but this is super!)

Something from Art Nation, and you know it is going to be amazing!

Mysteriously, out came items wrapped in delicate purple tissue paper...a material that we cannot find in Greece. Lots of rice paper, and crepe paper, but soft, fine colored tissue paper, ah.sigh.

not on, but TWO mini-collages from Karen! Just need hours to spend time to "Feel the Art" here!

Haptic, asemic, elegant. And that Australian postage stamp is quite an accent!

But then, there is another one...smaller , but so intriguing, yes?

I see a pirate...shiver-me-timbers...with a faric head band (real fabric, too)

Looking at me with two square eyes, and a piece of screen on his nose...tilted mouth. Yep, a pirate, or an elderly ol' lady? Playing with images am I?

Great pieces, and I am involved with the details...fine details of wondrous discovery. Thank you, Karen!!!

Herr Haptic Erni is once again letting us "Feel the Art" with a new collage! I am beginning to have a wonderful collection of haptic collages...can we say :"Bauhaus"? Love'em all, and eagerly wait for more!

The world sicks with UHU! and Erni knows the secret of perfect craftsmanship...precision pieces all!

and the envelope is the haptic art, too...going to blog it all...'tis excellent!

Thank you muchly dear Erni xxx

And also beautifully HAPTIC, with multi-layered tape transfers and collage elements that fascinate and invite one to "Feel the Art" for hours, is....what I call the"mountains", from Jon Foster. Absolutely haptic!

I have already posted elsewhere Cheryl's mail art: very haptic with threads and asemic letters stamped alonside Marilyn, puzzling words scribed in the Puzzle,
