ok I am lost...where is the blog that shows the stitching ;-(

It must be buried somewhere deep in the archaeological depths of Cheryls 53 blogs?

Here's a Greek "box" (sllip cover) for a series of Greek Art in World Museums.

I thought I would collect the 26 boekies and just place them in a slip cover like this. It is from the National Gallery in Washington, D.C. That way they can be moved in and out at will...

(Ok, I think the stitch binding for my pages is that, will go check at the blog...)

De Villo - I'll take the squirt gun :-) I NEEEED one of those.  Monkey pests - you know the story. Katerina - we will just blog a simple 4 hole-pamphlet stitch binding at the end - people can bind their books any way they choose - the slip case - good idea - plenty of unbound books like that.  I think I would prefer to bind mine though. No hinge this time, no binding your section together this time - all loose leaves :-)

While folding and gluing sandpaper, and all that assembly stuff tonight, I was thinking...(oh boy watch out)...we don't have to put "hinges", right? To each his/her own for binding? Because I had a "vision" that 26 boekies is a pretty thick puy-to-gether. And what if....what if, for example, we each make a protective box ( what are they called that we find with expensive books...a book slip case?) And then each letter/boekie slides in and we have a "bonded volume" but not a strung-all-together book. You see what I am envisioning? Hmmmm, I think I have that type of book from the Art Institute, let me go on a hunt....

Cheryl, John Bennett's 26 packet has been mailed with proper postage (hi Lesley) and minus the request for a squirt gun loaded with milk, which I passed along to the Ministry of Fun for their consideration. I am Pennitent concerning the indexing fiasco.

Hey guys - nice to see you all together :-) De Villo and I were a little at cross purposes here - sorry about that - We will be writing a forward/information about the project - participants can choose to include it or not.  The contents page - thanks Lisa - can we get back to you on your offer?  Tell you why - there may be letter swopping etc going on - so far the list is good as it stands, but who knows:-)  Documenation - I think that's for the individuals account - IF they would like.  This project was just about THE BOOK - Project 26.  It can grow too unwieldy with too many irons in the fire. How does that sound??
