BANANAS

AKA Anna Banana Appreciation Band (ABAB)

The theme is Bananas & Anna Banana.  Many of our members are « bananas » themselves, others are »fruity », a few are « nutty », and one is completely « ape ».
If you are none of these, don’t worry we can help you with specially designed projects and exams for your progress to the banana status you deserve.
We will also explore the many works of Anna Banana as we give appreciation for involvement in Mail Art & "Art".
PS I you are « crackers » or « loony », this group may not be for you.
Also: see link and fill in the form and return it to Anna Banana!

Hot Banana stuff from Dame Mailarta or is it Snappy?  It's time to rethink.  Very fun with a feel of pro lying under it all.   Dame Mailarta has the eye and is no beginner in the Banana world.  Thank you

I could have abs like this, but I don't want to... it might give me a banana head!

Ah that might have been the problem.  It's a reindeer, of course.  I was speaking to it in Moose, and was not prononcing the two funny dots on the top of the "O".

I bet the reindeer thought I said; "Take me to the police station, I'm crazy"   Yep that's it, I just put it into Google translate, and from Moose to Reindeer,  the word "crazy" in Moose is "banana" in Reindeer.

So that explains it all.  Thank you Carina for making that clear.

Welcome OH Boy!  And Oh Boy did you join a band of bananas.  As you can see from below, I must warn you about banana hunts that some of the members may send you.  We are all looking forward to your Banana mail.

Thank you to Carina for sending me a Banana adventure.  So I thought to myself, this should be easy enough ... I should be able to do this and be back in Paris for dinner ... I thought.

So I arrive in Finland, and take the train to Allerod,(the "o" really has two funny dots on top, just in case you confuse it with another city)  I get off the train and jump into the first taxis I could find.

I say to the taxis driver; "Lyngevej, banana Lyngevej?"  The taxis driver does not understand me, so I try to speak louder; "LYNGEVEJ, BANANA LYNGEVEJ?"  still doesn't understand me, so I try my luck with the moose, deer, or whatever that animal is, "Lyngevej, banana Lyngevej?"   The moose looks at me, then looks at the driver, noods its head up and down, and I step on to sled, and we start off. "great, here we go", I thought, but we arrived at the nearest Finnish police station, and I was put straight in jail.   And no, I didn't leave a tip for the moose!  Thank you Carina ... really!

OH Sorry, the Helios Bananaman is from Alicia Starr and not Mim.  You can tell by the signature of a hill, two eyes, and a bit at the end.  I went back and looked at the other banana bar code one from Alicia and it has the same signature.  Funny enough is that when Mim was in Paris, she was looking all over for a French date stamp, and I saw that Alicia got one for her birthday.

So here we go again, I present to you "Helios Bananaman" by Alicia Starr and her uncancelled stamps & signature:

Ops, that was the back side, wait one seconds, ah wa la;

Ah here is the real Mc Coy    Helios, god of the sun and ripener of bananas.

Dean, the 'BananaMan Can' is from me, but i take this as a compliment you thought it was from Mim.

Josephine Baker drove Paris Bananas from Dame Mailarta.  Yes, those were the days.  And funny enough, the swimming pool I go to is named Josephine Baker.  But if she drove them bananas, what car did she use?  Thank for this Dame Mailarta, the details go on forever.

The Banana Car ready for action. Cool Batman
