The Art Detox project, a free and open to all experiment in art ecology, was planned as a twelve months collective test, “a year of artistic detoxification” in the tradition of the “Decentralized Congress” years of 1986, 1992, 1998 and 2004. Therefore, from December 31^st 2010 the project may be considered terminated, but the blog http://artdetox2010.ning.com (now featuring over a thousand images from 146 blog members) will remain active as an online documentation at least until August 2011.

A conclusive multimedia Art Detox catalogue will be prepared soon in a limited edition, made available at production cost to all those interested. If you want to contribute a final statement (text, visual or audio) on the usefulness or pointlessness of this experience, or if you have other Art Detox documents and ruminations to share, there is time until January 17^th 2011 (“art’s birthday” according to Robert Filliou) to post it on the blog or e-mail it directly to vittorebaroni@alice.it. Do not forget to include your e-mail or postal address, to be timely notified as soon as the catalogue will be ready.
