OMG...what a nightmare!!! It must have been so surreal to your friends that they didn't have time to panic. They were very fortunate to have taken precautions and their house was spared. Their bodies/minds are probably just reacting now to the carnage around them and their good fortune. As I mentioned before, it truly looks like a war zone!!
Californians are a brave lot for living in an earthquake zone and fighting yearly fires!! But there are so many other beautiful things in CA that compensate for these two terrifying realities!! My niece lives in Redondo, CA and I've heard nothing from her so I gather this area is safe.
Stay well!

Salut Oh Boy,
I just checked out Ryosuke's blog. How exciting to see you outlining his body! And he has done a body outline of you...I am so very impressed!! Thank you for passing on all this info to me. By any chance, have you published articles or books on Ryosuke or other mailart subjects because I would love to buy any works that you have published?
BTW, what is the status of the fires in CA these days? Any signs of let-up?
Muchos saludos,
Wilma

Hi Oh Boy,
The pictures you posted are very impressive!!
Not that I know any of them but I recognize some famous names in there. Rod is certainly quite happy about seeing them. I saw a picture of you with Ryosuke who was doing a body image of a mailartist for his Brain Cell collection. Has Ryosuke done a bust or full body-size of you? You have been around all the pioneers in the mailart world. I think that is so exciting!! Like Rod, I'm sure you have some great stories to tell.
Thanks for posting those pictures. I'll develop them and put them in my mailart library which is very, very small but growing, nevertheless!
Well man, Lon sent me many cassettes back then, with him and a gang of fellows (including Dave Zack and Michael Mollet) chatting or should that be bullshitting? Are you on any of them? I also have one of Lon at Judith Hoffberg's house when she comes in and rips into him cos they are all smoking in the house. Lon was a great contact, as I said I still miss him. Lon can be heard on Mail-art dada skank the song on my page on this IUOMA site, he is the one saying "I'm just beating on the bathroom floor"
