Today when I drove across the bay bridge (Chesapeake) to collect my granddaughter from school and take her home I knew I had to take my stamps.  When she visits me I have her bins full in addition to other art stuff.  So she made her friends Halloween cards...she is going to be 6.

Here's another big rubber stamp lover :-)

I have collected quite a lot, and I love to carve stamps out of erasers.

Alas at the moment I have lack of time (and a big backlog of to-reply-mail-art), but whenever anybody says the word 'rubberstamp' ('stempel' in my language) my face shows a smile from ear-to-ear :-)

It's an Akua Pin Press, look at Dick Blick art supplies.  I tried to copy but can't.  I started using it for paper lithographry printing since I didn't have the money or space for a real press.

Hi DeeDee,

I don't create rubber stamps either, but I do collect them.  I love them, and I use them often in my mailart.  I'm working on some postcards to send out for Halloween using rubber stamps.  Nothing fancy, just fun little things.  I would be happy to add you to my list.

Stay groovy,

Pam

Hi again, Holly,
Forgive me, I don't get it---a rolling pin to print? I've heard of gel prints, though not quite ready to actually delve into that.
What the dickens do you print with a rolling pin? I'm intrigued!

All I have is a roller pin press (large metal rolling pin) and I use my body weight to press, also some gel print kits.  But I have hundreds of rubber stamps...because you never know when you might need.....

Happy to see your reply, Holly!
I don't have a working printer (yet--need to set it up). I broke the last one whilst changing an ink cartridge or whatever they are called these days. I could NOT believe it when it happened. It should have been easy peasy.
In the event, I have a somewhat large collection of rubber stamps, that I continue to use in mail art.
Now, since I don't have a scanner, I must remind myself to take a photo of the pieces I send! Just yesterday, I mailed 3 pieces, and neglected to photograph them.

Take care + see you in mail-land!

I still use them, often in addition to printing.

Hello Hello Hello...is there anybody out there?
it seems as though no one has posted to this group for quite
some time.
while i don't create rubber stamps, i am an avid collector, always
looking for something new and or unusual.
in the event, i do hope someone else is as interested in rubber
stamp use in their mail art creations

best,

Back in the early  90s when I caught the rubber stamp bug I couldn't even mail a payment without adding to the envelope!  Then that lead to making my own, selling them, going to conventions, teaching classes....and I still have hundreds and love them.
