I am a member of ACE - Art Cover Exchange and IUOMA. Both are great. Both are similar, but they have some differences. ACE focuses on mail art, being a pen pal, stamps and first day covers. I am a fan of both and believe that many people that like IUOMA would also enjoy ACE.
ACE has been around since 1935. Today, ACE members use a variety of artistic methods for decorating their mail envelopes, including hand drawn/painted envelopes, computer art, stickers, rubber stamps, collage and just about anything else that will adhere to an envelope and go through the mail system.
The Art Cover Exchange (ACE) promotes art, philately, friendship and correspondence among its members. The special emphasis of the group is in the artistic presentation of postal covers for exchange.
I encourage you taking a look at the ACE web-site and consider joining.

Whoever thinks ''nothing wrong'' can join and pay the membership, why not. However, I never mix the money and Postal Art. It should be free and affordable to people in various countries all over the world. Of course, food comes first. That is why we don't see people from poor countries here, they need money for food and other necessities, rather than pay any f****g membership or fee, right?!
nothing wrong with a group that has membership.
In Mail-Art it is a conceptual art form however where we rather not mingle art and money.
I enjoy membership with IUOMA and ACE. Both are nice to be a part of.
Yes, ACE has membership dues which is $20 per year. With ACE you get a really nicely done newsletter mailed out to you once a month.
For me, I like being part of both groups.
I totally agree with Ruud. I would never be a member of anything that requires yearly fee or membership to be paid. It is then, bureaucratic issue, and also we would never know when, where and how our money will be used. IUOMA, however, is free to join and no membership fee is required. Anybody can donate to IUOMA any sum, since IUOMA needs funding to pay internet site's fee, just to exist the way it exists now.
ACE does require a membership fee each year.
IUOMA is free for users.
cute
and
interesting,
thank you

You can order books yourself too at the IUOMA-Bookshop. That will sponsor the IUOMA as well.
IMPORTANT: please use the friends/family option with donation on Paypal. That makes transaction fee the lowest.
