I see this member, https://iuoma-network.ning.com/profile/jmc111, supposedly in Dubai, creepily spamming this new but inactive member with a comment, here:

Is there any moderation, or anything to be done about this? And now I am wondering how to tell if anyone is "real!"

And now I see I have the same comment on my page, from the same source! Ew. Is there a way to block people?

Dear Gwendolynium,

Yes, there is a ‘spammers’ group here at IUOMA where we can inform each other about possibly spammers, and if indeed there is a spammer, our moderator Ruud will remove the account, see

https://iuoma-network.ning.com/group/spammersmailart

Luckily I have not received spam here at IUOMA so far ( in my over 10 years membership), but in contrary, as I have a p.o.box as adress mentioned here in my public profile, I have received some snail mail spam in my mailbox!  Luckily two with beautiful foreign stamps on the envelope, but you might imagine that I was very surprised to see analog spam :-)

Thank you, Heleen!

Glad you got some nice stamps out of it. ;-)
