I was super lucky to be able to meet a Tinga Tinga African artist who goes by his artist nickname, Mteko, painting at a gallery shop here in my city of Japan (at Baraka Japan). Have you heard of Tinga Tinga art ? It is African Pop Art. Today, I visited the gallery shop for the first time to check out what the gallery shop was like with my friend, and I was so excited to be able to meet him by chance !!  His first language is Swahili but we could communicate with a bit of Japanese and English. This was his 7th time visiting Japan as an artist. And this time, he will be in Japan for 3 months. I am going to visit the gallery shop sometimes from now on. I hope to see him again next month ! I am going to prepare my hand-carved stamp prints to give him as presents next time I see him !! 🤓🍀🇹🇿
