The first shows polar bears that were among old book pages depicting animals that I'd sent to Svenja. She sent this photo back after giving it a wonderful context, on a painted book cover: 

She says "These guys indicated to travel right back to you--couldn't do anything against it." Who knew they'd talk?? I hope they aren't telling SECRETS, Svenja.

 

Separately Svenja sent her first attempt at linocut, which I would call a smashing success--printed on a topical card:

Svenja says her linocut swimmer is "knocking her head." Poor thing. Thanks very much, Svenja, I love both ~
