Hi--I am doing an unofficial poll for a story I am writing. A christian company is looking to crowdfund their project they are calling "McMass" In an effort to increase waning church attendence, they are looking to put a McDonald's inside a church. My question is:
would this make you any more likely to attend church?

29.11.14 Double Dare Ms. Diane K., Your unofficial poll here at the IUOMA is directed to the wrong source. Too many eccentrics, independent thinkers & educated palates in this batch to do the plight of the church in contemporary society much good. McMass is indeed best served & aimed at the masses--you know, those folk that really matter & cause things to happen & really run everything anyway by just being the 90% ...which of course you already figured out to begin with....although Ms. Nancy Bell Scott's notion of " a bar" along with a McMenu could easily enrich & expand the whole notion of Communion. Cheers, Richard
Only if looking for someplace to throw up, and I never look for that. If they put a bar in there, I might attend, but only if drunk and don't know what I'm doing.
The short answer to your question is "no"...but a sushi bar...or topless waiters...
On a related note - and this is a true story - (as all of mine are, of course,). I do some work in the centre of town, opposite a beautiful old church. It (the church) has now been converted into a Fried Chicken outlet, and an internet café. I haven't been inside yet but I am endlessly amused by the transformation. I'll take some photos for you next time I'm there!
29.11.14 Dare Ms. Diane K., I like the thinking here (although not really that far- fetched in terms of things like "The Ronald McDonald House") ----great idea !!! ...(that is, as a DKULT idea. I personally would probably lean toward" Pizza Hut" & would- in all probability -have trouble in keeping my saint list straight) Is this another Trashy Novel of yours? All best to you. Richard C.
