Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
Greetings worlds artists. I am honoured that you have welcome me into your abode. I am a multi-discliplinary artist working in so many ways through sound cut up poetry video pen and ink drawings all of which are inspired by AUTOMATISM & Surrealism. I have been an artist since birth. My every breathing living moment is ARTARTART! I live for it and im in love with it! I have wanted for some time to move out into the outer world outside of my culture and country to speak listen create with other artists and experience there experieces through every day living seeing and being. I need other artists to bounce ideas off and for them to bounce ideas off me~ So we can be swimming along a beautiful stream of artistic conscience together~

Hello Suzanne - I am busy talking to one artist about the vispo book - as soon as I get an answer I will let you know if there is a place left if you are still keen? Basically ou have to mail to 14 other people on the list. The format is 2 sheets folded A4 which leaves 8 portrait sides to fill with visual poetry - ANY questions after that ramble let me know :-) X

A friendly welcome to The Eternal Network, from a friendly mail artist, living in a friendly country may be the opportunity you are expecting to discover in mail Mail-Art. A perfect start here is mail-art exchange. I would like to be the other end on your very beginning at IUOMA when you decide it’s the right time for you to start doing it.    If that’s the case at this time, your envelope should read as follows:

The Celestial Scribe
Caixa Postal, 24827
Curitiba-PR
80510-970
Brazil

II look forward to see your piece in my mailbox.  Yes! I will do my homework after receiving yours.  That’s a celestial promise.  I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Envelope Provider.

Dear Suzanne,

Welcome to IUOMA! And it's your very first day! And this is your very first IUOMA message*!

It's a great bunch of folks and I hope that you enjoy exchanging Mail Art with us. I'm your Mentor, and if I can help to ease you into IUOMA in any way, then please don't hesitate to ask and I'll try to explain what's going on and how IUOMA works.

If you haven't already done so, I suggest you take a look at the 'New to IOUMA' page (4th from the left at the top of the IUOMA home page) where you'll find a 10-point Introductory Guide that should give you an insight as to what is going on.

Would you like to exchange some Mail Art with me? If so, send me something to 1 Rue de la Vieille Fontaine, F-11130 Sigean, France, and I PROMISE to send you something back.... BUT first you'll have to put your postal address in your Profile Information page.

Hoping you enjoy your IUOMA days.

Regards, Val Herman

(*which you should save for ever and ever, for when you write your mail art memoirs)
