Mail-art by IUOMA member Richard Canard (Carbondale, Illinois, USA)
August 14, 2013 - I dreamed it would happen. It has happened, and I am the lucky recipient. Richard Canard - one of the inadvertent inventors of Trashpo - has paid homage to the undisputed Queen of Trash.
Like Jim Leftwich (Virginia, USA), Richard Canard has made few public declarations concerning Trashpo. His mail-art to Diane Keys (Illinois, USA) reflects affection and regard, IMHO. What are we to make of his statement on this card? Does he refer to mailing trash? Lint? Roadkill? A part of Richard always remains cryptic.
Richard, deepest thanks, as ever!

And bless Rain Rein for starting the SELF-PROMO LTD-SELF-ABSORPTION ATE MY HOMEWORK group. We should renew our vows, but sadly not doing much business these days:
A walk down Memory Lane often takes a turn down Nightmare Alley, but yes, it still exists in IUOMA's sub-basement:

Thanks to the society for procurement of roadkill alternatives (SFPORA)(which I believe is how I met you) I try to use synthetic, but in a vision the roadkill told me they appreciate becoming mail art so they weren't flattened for nothing. They are also the ones who tell me to dress them up and have tea parties with them.
Viz - let's not open the poopo gate (so to speak). No one wants to unleash that "movement."
Carina - yes, as Blaster said: "All different; all the same."
DK - He did receive the Trashpo newsletter. Maybe he wants a chunk-o-skunk. Remember to always use synthetic or faux roadkill.
I take this as RC asking me to mail him arguably inappropriate materials. I am always on the lookout for RK. RK for RC?
Love it! It becomes more cryptic the more you think about it. Maybe Richard was a postal worker before he became a mail artist...
I can't really think of anything that shouldn't be mailed...except maybe poo. Then again, that may fall under DK's Bad Art Group theme. So yeah, can't think of anything.
"Some things were never meant to be mailed" seems cryptic to me. Put a picture of a dead mink with that, then I know exactly what he means. Now, frankly, I am imagining some pretty strange things.
Only a part is cryptic?
Well, maybe you're right.
I have another one from him moaning about his mail box being empty, which I do not believe.
Postal service sending things back? KDJ turned state's witness in the Tony Soprano trial & informed on the DKult postage due pyramid scheme. They're gonna start dropping like bowling pins.
