Looks like it went through the machine upside down - the bottom left stamp is canceled (it must have gone through top right - you know, the 'correct' way to place a stamp). The envelopes were made from grocery bags, so even though the paper is thick, it is quite rough where the handles were attached, or at the corners and folds. I am not surprised it didn't travel quite so well, as I'm sure these parts can catch on the machines, but some of the look of it may just be because it it was originally a bag.

I made these in Jan 2015, so it was fun to hang on to them until December before releasing them into the wild. You can see more that I sent to non-IUOMA friends here:

It seems the postal system didn't recognize those lovely "Hearts" as postage stamps,

and the brown baggie envelope came "chewed up" a bit :-(

But so happy that it did arrive...never "too late" :-)

Wow, glad to part of the XII on the XIIth day of Christmas. This one took its time, did;t it? 16 days seems longer than usual.
