This mail art had me waltzing all the back from the letterbox today!

What a surprise to find a cane basket with a cheesy little Swiss box amongst all the other mail!

I wound up the key on the base and the sweet tunes of "Oh my papa" serenaded me (and the nearby) cows all the way back to the house. I was giggling all the way!! (and that's a long walk!)

Here's the back, alongside a little Swiss puppet.

Oh, I forgot to mention, this mail art was sent to me as a prize for some Bad Mail Art which I sent as part of the monthly Bad Art competition in Diane's IUOMA MOBMA group. I was the lucky winner! For sure!

Here's where this mail will be residing for now, amongst the sheeps' wool and koala head! That should be bad enough. Thanks soooo much DK!

Thanks Dean. I just sent some dead ant art to Seattle. If that goes well I might take it global

Thanks gals!

Diane, you bought it like this? I thought you actually made it!! Now it seems even more bizarre to me, who would make such a souvenir to sell in the first place? A hurdy gurdy music box stuck in the middle of a shallow basket!!?

I'm moved beyond comprehension that this exorbitant purchase was made for me, I'm chuffed that you decided I was worth the extra 60c.

LOL--love this blog and your pics are great. I used the stamps to cover the price on this great piece. I didn't want you to feel bad that I had spent such an exorbitant amount of money on it. I think it was 1.60--well over the bad art budget of 1.00.  I am so glad it went through sans envelope. I took a chance on having the right postage and did the Dean Marks School of the Bold method--put it in the mailbox with no return address and run!! the tune is catchy isn't it?
