It's so hard to be heartfelt twice in one day but I'll make the effort for my good friend, KDJ. Let's start with the envelope.

Even worse that second hand heartfeltness is rewriting a joke. I am so peeved...He smites brow for emphasis...and continues...It seems likely that "That is a sock" will be found on my tombstone. For the mystified please check out the video Diane Keys posted somewhere around here. Take a look at the wonderful ransom note addressing. (Author aside: KDJ is a kidnapper in real life and has a practiced hand at this sort of thing.

Here I am making my first cameo appearance in the Book of Kells with my little dummy Francisco, upon whom nothing is lost (not even blog posts). Also KDJ's gentle push into my much needed new career. Again, check out the video for an amazing demonstration of late-blooming hidden talent.

No explanation needed. KDJ, I think I speak for Francisco and myself when I say you are greatly missed around here and we look forward to your return when the time is right. Thanks for your friendship. Signed the Kooky Kids at IUOMA.

I really have hopes for the next probation hearing. I said, "Look, you wear an ankle bracelet. You slip that off and attach to a dog's collar. What do they have? You in a safe house somewhere. And a dog in San Quentin? They'll hold the dog for questioning, but that's about it. Dogs don't crack under the hot lights."

We must re-double our efforts to find "the one-armed man."

"But It's a Sock" will definately go down in IUOMA history. Taken out of context, it is ripe with the possibility of misinterpretation and  reinterpretation. I'm sure KDJ is waiting impatiently for the next David Stafford Short, leading to what we can only hope will be a full length feature film. David has been on the fence between focusing on yodeling and/or ventriloquism. I vote for yodeling as ventrilo....is very hard to spel. But it appears KDJ sees the big picture and is steering him towards puppetry. No doubt she is seeing the eventual possibility of David having his own lucrative line of sock puppets, socks, sock monkey plush toys etc. KDJ is nothing if not a marketing genius. Great blog David!

Hi KDJ, I gain strength and reassurance always knowing you are there, looking over my shoulder, guiding me when I stumble.
