I think the number should be FIVE.
Any more, and the occasional photo or two that a person posts just gets lost when another person posts 30 photos, and then another person posts another 30, and then....etc.
Adapting John Lennon's words: "Give photos a chance."
Peace.
Comment
When i post photos (not every day, or every week, even) I usually post 5,
as 5 is in the line for upload...I like the idea of "5".
However, there isn't a difficulty with viewing ALL photos, as many photos in a day or a week or a month, etc., that have been posted by ALL who have posted. Just go to the upper bar (the TOOL bar, my dear Valentine, not the bar that serves beer, wine, etc) and click "PHOTOS" to see ALL 115,417+ photos ever posted! You may view them as a slow slide show and spend as many hours as you wish looking at the photos...very inspiring, really.
I'll never manage 5 photos per day. too high a number.
This is a good idea of Val's. If 5 bothers people, it's a long way to 30, so maybe something in between. The numbers of photos often overwhelm, and I know I end up missing many I'd truly like to see and think about.
Thanks, Ruud. I agree -- if it doesn't work, then let's go back to the 30-a-day position.
O.K. Valentine,
I will give it a chance. The limit is now set to 5 per person. So less images, and therefore we will see more images from more mail-artists.
We'll see if this works out o.k.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Ruud
Nope, I don't agree Katerina.
I know how many you are allowed to post: 30
However, if you post 30, I suggest there is a law of diminishing marginal returns -- if 20 people look at the first of the 30, 18 will look at the 2nd, 14 at the 3rd...and so on, right the way down to numbers 29 and 30, which will probably only be looked at by 1 or 2 people.
What I am suggesting is that the number that can be posted at any one time should be no more than 5 -- one horizontal line on the photos page.
How many people post up to 5 photos a day (or even the same person posting another 5, but not at the same time as the original 5) has nothing to do with this.
You seem to suggest 'the more photos the better', and I have no problems with this. But everyone of them, surely, deserves its Warhol like 15 minutes of glory.
So, here's Andy to wrap this up:
At your profile page, my dear Valentine,
you are allowed 30 photos per day...me thinks?
It should not matter how many others post on the same day.
go, go...post your latest art :-)
And Happy 2018! xxx
