Once upon a time, back in 2009?

Grigori Antonin made an artistamp /stamp of Ray Johnson for his mail art:

Roland Halbritter noticed the similarity to his Ray Johnson artistamp:

A heated "discussion" took place here at IUOMA...

and now both are no longer members. sigh.

What came first? The chicken or the egg??? Or both "copied"/based on this photo:

I am always out of the loop on these things. Why is the Ray stamp controversial?
