David sends fantastic fold books – copies of them.  I asked for some MARKS.  As he thinks I’m very unclear with instructions (I DON’T think you’re the only one :-) - (but then again maybe it’s a semantics thing???) I clarified – I would like (phrased as I WANT) ORIGINAL Stafford marks.

Marks by definition – for me – being the original inscriptions, pencil scratches, erasure marks and musings of the artist before he/she has corrected/refined their work.

The o-so-FAB-result – “Cheryl must have her marks or she will not be chuffed Dave thought as he took himself to bed with dip pen and ink. … But what if the marks are not chuff-worthy DAVE!!!! – this is SO SO chuff-worthy :-))

Death on a diving board – indicative of Dave’s flue – I have to wonder if virus’ are female???

The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, hindered and skewed by prevailing mental winds - nice line!

Penn Marks – which I LOVE is dedicated to Ruth Weideman – who sounds like a wonderful woman – I dedicated Stafford Marks to her.

Thanks David – from the chuffed rabbit.

P.S.

I received "Secret Decay" - clever you!!! Complete with original MARKS from the the first man in space mail art call.  Of course you couldn't bear to toss - you sent them to a good home - thank you :-) and the ATC and the reference to Metropolis - once upon a time, a long while ago, I did a blog on this movie ( I had received work).  Its now well and truely buried, but INTERESTING that you've brought it up a second time for me - thank you again David :-)

Walt Whitman and Yoda.  Two men everyone should memorize.  Wait- Walt Whitman, Yoda and David Stafford.  Three men everyone should memorize.

very distant cousins....a snorf is the little piglet noise emitted by a nose in heat....a yawp on the other hand is Walt Whitman having beers after work, letting the yawps out the front door of the saloon and watching them circle like blackbirds, coming finally to rest in a leafing tree at twilight as he makes his way back to his apt.

Is a slight snorf related to a great yawp?

David, your  'marks' are so chuffingly great! And why should you, or any of us, "care about someone" we've "never met" ( and lives in South Africa or Greece or Arizona)? We care, because we have met them...really...we have shaken hands with them, embraced them, body and soul: through their art. We really know them quite well! We are the best of friends!

You care VERY much, as is shown in this amazing work! And because it is also a great blog, Cheryl has shared it with us, and we have come to know you , oh, so much better!
