Well, Elvis is here, and with holiday greetings :-)

But I must direct my inquiries, and ask Elvis: who sent it? what does it mean? ...no name on card.

Aha...but there are clues, of course: from New Mexico...with that Albuquerque cancel stamp,

and with an artsy addition to the Forever US postage :-)

On the other side of Elvis is a photo of this jolly fellow,

in the middle of the sandy beach, by the ocean...with a real

British "torch" as it were:

Does he look familiar?

Full image of card, and we all know that it is from...

David Stafford!

Many thanks, and Happy 2017 to you and yours, too! xxx

('must recycle this and send it to the guy in the White House:)

Too long, KDJ! It's wonderful to hear you remember the trash(po) sox, never mind wear them to this day. I still wear the black sox graced with pink flamingos. ...

Oh I just bet you did, but grease does it every time. We don't have that 40 wt stuff back east, you know. You're lucky to have a relative whose tuff shed stores it. Go team! Maybe send some of that stuff to DC in case they run out.

Thank you, Nancy. I had to grease a lot of plams to use that quote. Really a lost art. You take a hot plam right outta the oven and swab it with grease of some kind. (We used Lubri-Seal 40 wt which my cousin Spencer keeps in his tuff shed.)

Nietzsche is dead? If only someone had mentioned this before Nov 8. Dam. Great card from Dave as always, thank you, Kat.

With the torch, er, "Flashlight of Truth", it is hoped that David will cast a looong shadow

for the next 4 years. He is a good guy, me is enchanted :-)

Richard is angling to lead my new Ministry of Aphorisms. He's pretty much my only choice now that Nietzsche has been declared dead.

24.01.17 Dare Ms. Katerina N. & Mister David S., ...My guess is that the only real interest Elvis had in the sun was "Sun" records....& if E. eagerly shared  a "photo-op" with Richard NIxon, he wouldn't have hesitated to share one  with Donald McRonald Trump. "The Flashlight of Truth" (that's another "good one" from D.S.) has been entrusted to David Stafford simply because he's a good guy ("thoughful"--whatever that means) & fast on the draw. Sincelery, Richard C.
