Carina Granlund: The Red Banana

     You may remember the 1952 horror movie film called, "The Red Banana".   Well it's back and it wants revenge! 

     If I remember the story correctly, there is this outcast of a banana that the other bananas don't want in their bunch.  The outcast banana hand paints himself red and goes back and skins the other bananas of their peelings.  The police arrive just in time to stop him but then they slip on some banana peelings and the Red Banana gets away.

     I remember the 1952 film wasn't very good.  Then again I saw it on a black & white TV and you couldn't really tell which one was the Red Banana except he had a lower voice.

Another sign of the times, hand painted.  It looks like we may have a theme for our next banana day call on August 27, 2016 for Banana Lover's Day.  We all should make hand painted Banana Mail Art.
