thank you to Jim SantAmour, Amy Irwen, and Svenja Wahl

Oh, I enjoy this fine 15-scrapper from you very much, Jim:  and this beautifully composed and stitched scrapper from Amy, which she says "is made of scraps just grabbed and put together--altho I used more than 3 pcs":…

Thanks to Kerri Pullo and Svenja Wahl

This is a beautiful scroll- parchment- burnt- and/or rust-like asemic piece from Kerri. That's quite a combination of adjectives ... and every single one describes something special to me. I love this piece.

Svenja sent this action-packed card…

Svenja Wahl, Jim SantAmour, Erni Bar, and Jon Foster

Svenja is not capable of sending faceless mail art. See, here she tried, yet the face still speaks:

I love it.

Jim sent a fine, foodword-ridden, sharply composed collage based on a photo he took at the New York State Fair in Syracuse--very nicely done: …

Holiday Re-Hash

Sorry to have been absent for so long--the holiday season is one of the busiest times at my work place, plus I seem to be having some difficulties with my home computer not functioning very well on the IUOMA site lately. (I've tried using different browsers, but I think my computer is sufficiently old enough and been surpassed by so many system upgrades that the platform can't handle things anymore--which means having to buy a new computer soon...UGH.  Sometimes being on the technology slow…

Heidelberg Owlsters (Owlstars!) from Svenja Wahl

After sending a kind of strange abstract piece to Svenja which ended up looking like a square owl, I received this from her: All decked out in their babywear. Wow! Am I in love! Aren't you? Hilarious. I have many Svenja favorites, and this ranks right up there with them. It sorely tempts one to continue to send oddball not-meant-to-be-animal mail art to her.

She also…

Along the Line, and Prophet Jones' mink coat - from Svenja Wahl

Sometimes you can take it or leave it, says Svenja's envelope. In this case no hesitation, of course, take it and open eagerly :-))

Inside, a fantastic Kunststuck, an inchie to be filled out and an interesting newspaper article.…

Received from Diane Keys, Svenja Wahl, Jen Staggs

Big surprise in my mailbox. My first DK mail, yeeey! Two postcards on carboard. Could it even be very personalized mail? Did DK see my Chance/Choice picture and is sending a reply to it? Is it Chance or is it Choice? The characters on both cards are all blinded with the word Chance, Kings of which Kingdom, we will never know. The cards include numbers of…

What? Why? No! - from Svenja Wahl

This is one of my favorite postcards. The scanner really did a lousy job because it didn't know how to deal with the contrast between the matt paper and the piece of transparent film, but I can tell you that it looks great in real life. The photo reminds me of old pictures of my grand parents working in the fields, and the questions and puzzling faces leave it open to…
