Rebecca Guyver: Used Trivet

It arrived like this.  Yes, this is a real 3D handmade old fashion triangle trivet.  I remember my grandparents having one just like this one.  Unfortunately one day my mean grandmother threw it at my nice grandfather while saying something in German, and it broke.  Then…

Florence Welch and The Banana.  At first I thought this was Rebecca herself, but then I did some research. Actually I had never heard of…

Rebecca Guyver: Spot the Banana and more

Can you spot the banana?  This page folds up to be a very nice story book.  No, I don't think that Rebecca drew the images up side down.  It's just the way it turned out on the scanner.  Love this idea.…

Rebecca Guyver : Better Short than bread

An intense story of Love, Money and Butter Shortbread.  I can't wait to see how it ends.  Does she fall into a cup of tea or will she colour her roots again?

Rebecca's Butter Shortbread package makes a home for the story.…

Rebecca Guyver: A womans work is never done

You would think that staying in a size 5 to 10 would be enough.  But no, Rebecca Guyver has to go the extra mile.

When do you ever find time for mail art?…

Rebecca Guyver: A book, it's your turn now

Rebecca Guyver in her younger years was that shy little girl in the back of the class with the horn rim glasses.  Those days have gone, and today Rebecca is an outgoing Mail Artist, painter and artist-educator.  Her work can be found in mailboxes around the world, and I was lucky enough to have one drop into mine.

Signed, sealed & delivered:    My turn now? …

Rebecca & Figgy Guyver: Essay Leftovers & Zwarte Kertmis Gebak

Like Mother like Daughter, a double Dutch take on Christmas baking.  So I guess we have all heard about Dutch ovens, (I see some of you running for google), but this one takes the cake ... or should I say mince pies!

This is where the phrase baked to a crisp in an understatement.  Luckly Rebecca is a Mail Artist and can save the day.  Great Mail Art.  The text…

Rebecca Guyver: Let them drink Champagne

No matter how many times you repeat yourself before you loose your head, some people will never understand the important things in life.  Rebecca makes it clear in this fun piece.  She hit the nail on the head with me!

Funny enough, at first I didn't see the bottle!  Thanks for those unstamped stamps ...…

Mim's scraps and stamp

I was the very lucky recipient of the MAILART 365 stamp that Mim offered as a prize to those of us still making mailart every day for a year once she had finished. Not only did I get the stamp, I also got a wonderful jiffy bag full of precious scraps.  I pulled out some of the scraps one by one and laid them down on the scanner randomly and this is what I got when I download…

Asemic Illumination #3 from Rebecca Resinski

I love her asemic writing, which fills the card: My scanner does not capture the deep richness of the warm blue, unfortunately. This is a real beauty, and I thank you, Rebecca!
