DK: fab Motivational Trashpo 2/2 series--and more if you think it's needed

Great work from Diane as always. Her motivational trashpo series is so, so, motivating. Makes me want to step out on the sidewalk and do the very first thing that comes to mind. People in town have already discovered what that is, and thanks, DK! She…

IUOMA groups contributed to the festive spirit in Suffolk this season!

Now this is annoying!  I have typed this blog three times… but I will try again!

As mentioned in an earlier blog, I got lots of wonderful mail art over the holiday season but this year it was the groups on facebook and here at IUOMA that resulted in my participating in some festive swaps that made my Christmas even more jolly!

I…

Neil Gordon and Diane Keys TRASHPO

Barkpo from Neil:

There it is, great and raw bark, with someone's "stump treework" ad, put together by Neil along with a few other doodles on paper. The whole thing is on cardboard, and says clearly that this is Neil's design. And I love it. Also from Neil in recent months: …

KDJ, David Stafford, Grigori Antonin, and Diane Keys

Is KDJ missed or what? Yesssss. She sent this piece in November, as well as a most generous gift of a well-known collage book I'd not yet obtained. It became an instant favorite: KDJ, since you're not forgotten, why be gone? Ack, not to pressure, but as you can see it is sorely tempting to try. ...

KDJ started the IUOMA group "I'm Enchanted With David," and here is but…

Trashpo Stuff from Diane Keys

I got this bunch of great Trashpo ingredients from DK in a sickly sweet envelope, I love it.

I don't know what that detritus looking stuff is but it don't taste too bad.

I had to do two scans to get…

Trashaeology Expedition at Piney Creek Acres

Inspired by DK's recent trashpo videos and the discussion which broke out on my previous blog post, Oh! For the Love of Trash! (which can be found here: http://iuoma-network.ning.com/profiles/blogs/oh-for-the-love-of-trash?xg_source=activity) Moo and I set out to see what we could discover of the remains of an old trash pit out…

Oh! For the love of TRASH!

Sometimes, living on a 7 acre plot, where it was routine to dig holes and bury trash in bygone years, has it's advantages. DK wanders the streets of Elgin, eyes wide open for bits of this and that. Me, I tend to hunt in my own backyard: Piney Creek Acres.

Last week, I was walking the dog and the sun glinted off something shiny and black! I couldn't…

Pocket shred of 'Shroud of Elgin' from De Villo Sloan, with Certificate of Authenticity

It's a dream come true, and DVS made it happen! When he announced he was taking orders from trashpo aficionados for DK shroud shreds, I jumped at the chance and requested a pocket (as I believe pockets are underrated). Within a day or two, after no doubt a lot of hard work, DVS wrote back that not only had he located a pocket shred but he had already sent it off to me, with a…
