Ana Banana sent me some information about an artist who was showing in Paris; Jeff Berner. I met up with Jeff at his show ... (OH no, very strange, while I was writing this; I just received an e-mail from Jeff). He has just informed me that George Whitman who was the owner of Shakespeare & Company here in Paris passed away yesterday.
George was a real icon for many of us in Paris. Many years ago I went to see George to try to sell him some of my books. I remember he said to…

It is always a wonderful surprise to get Mail Art from someone you have never heard of before. Who is Brent? What does he sell? Where does he live? And the big question is, why would he send me these wonderful pieces of art when he must know that I can only offer barcodes, barcodes and more barcodes! He is a talent that I will be watching, and who knows, maybe someday I will be ready to; "Go beyond the Barcodes." Thank you for these Brent, I will soon be sending you ......... yep,…

Bits from Val and a clear view of how to clean up the European ecomomic problem. Beer cap is not Lonestar Texas beer, but rather Newcastle Brown ... I think. As for the one British penny, well I'm taking it with me to England next week, and will spend it on something I can send to Val. What can you buy with one British penny? We'll see!…

If you have never been burnt by Diane Keys, well this is what it looks like. The Fire sign Diane VS the Water sign Dean. Stay tuned, the best is yet to come.

Now you can print this out and have your own French Mailbox. Val suggests that I stick a copy over my post box at home. This might just confuse the mailman, but it could be fun for a good laugh. PS By chance I ran into our postman the other day (very very rare for Paris), he told me that he enjoys seeing all the art work. I told him about the website, and he might sign up, he says he is also an "Artist". Please Note: He also wanted Diane Keys' telephone number, but I didn't give it to…

My own personal non-birth anouncement from Jen Staggs. So can anyone guess what chairty Jen and her husband gives to? My print is on what looks like the accounting pages from 1913 of the Klichinger comapny. I think this Texas company use to manufacture baby high heel shoes, baby cowboy boots and baby cowboy hats. It seems that they went out of business and have been forgotten quite a few years ago. Luckly, we will remember Gregory Peck forever!…

Another Mail Art test from Val. I thought I did pretty good but confused Erni's Bar for the IUOMA HQ. Also added Val in his upstairs studio, the place were the wise don't venture to. I am still awaiting the results of my test. If I pass, I would be moving up one level to Mail Artist third class.…

Another wonderful piece from Erni. I love the well balance of it all. He has an eye ... for now. But if he keeps drinking that Kleiner Waldkauz stuff, he may not only hoot like the owl on the package, but it can also make you go blind.
Not ever hearing about Swan filter tips I googled it which took me to an interesting site called; Everyonedoesit.com I then deleted my cookies and all traces in my computer. Very educational, a Washout none the less.…

Trashpo book from Diane Keys. All those little pieces of paper that we have that mean something to someone and together mean more to others. Thank you, I did make a note to clean the toilet, bathtub and shower.

Two in one envelope from Katerina Nikoultsou. These are numbered 363/365 which means that she had only two more to do before completing her one Mail Art a day for a year project. The bar codes are from stamp pages. Yes, you can find bar codes everywhere ... have you looked inside of your cell phone yet?…

The word "Plog" comes from the newly invented phrase; "Blog before it Plogs!" Invented by Dean Marks himself the phrase means; "to let Mail Art pile up before thanking people for it."
Dean was quoted saying; "I enjoy Mail Art the most after I have thanked the person who sent it." also "the word "clog" would have been too logical, and someone might have misunderstood it for a wooden shoe, "Plog" only refers to Mail Art."
A day without a Plog is a good day, at least I'll try my…

I received this Emergency electronic chip from Amy Irwen which had me laughing on the floor. The instructions said; "Swallow in case of an Emergency", which in my case might remove all the static electricity which hovers around me. I still smile when I look at this piece. Could it be that we are the same chip off the old block?…

Wow Erni there is major Mail Art in this package. I don't really know what to say. All six senses are covered, and with film rights the seventh will be covered too. This is surely several levels up from my cards. I'll need to shift gears to even come close. The timing is perfect, these are the last little touches for my Halloween dinners.
This work of art deserves to be seen in 12 glossy photos which I will shortly display.
Thank you very much Erni, and you really do…
