At last, here it is, the Amy Special. But it didn't arrive this was. It took hard work and lots of money to pull this one off.First the money. A whooping $13.50 to send this to Paris. To put this in real USA terms, that's the same as buying two Whooper Meals and an extra hamburger. For International viewers, this is the daily government budget of the country of Tuvalu. And that includes custom taxes too. What a shame the custom sticker took over. Here's the work part: Armed with acetone, window cleaner, and a lot of elbow grease & determination, the sticker slowly came off to reveal the hidden treasure.
Thank you Amy, this one was simply amazing, and well worth it. Now I have a challenge for you.
If it is possible, make a similar mail art piece, put a round global stamp on it, and maybe an extra 20cents for hand stamping, but this is optional. Don't put your return address on it, and at midnight (wearing only black), go to the post office and drop it in the mailbox quickly, then run away. Stop after a block or two to make sure no one is following you. I bet it will arrive in Paris. Kats has a name for this technique, I think it's called Dean's drop & run method.
Once when I was in the USA, I went to three different post offices and they gave me three different prices to send the same thing to Canada. $7.70, $6.65 & $5.75. I said forget that, and brought it back to France and sent it for $2.00.

Yes, I've tried to send "letters" that were thicker than will go through their slot and have been told it would cost a bunch extra. I just took it back home and re-packaged it. What's a "sticker dome?"
"Dean Drop 'n Run" it is! Mailed "naked" and hopefully nowhere near
cameras or spying drones?
That is a lot of US postage for something to Paris!
Is it so expensive because it is large?
Maybe it is rare endangered species snake skin? Super!
Dare to drop & run !
29.06.16 Dare Dean aka, ...you understand America (at least, it's postal system) all too well. .... My fellow Americans, This is "Good Advice" from the Artist in Seine. Thanx for posting. Richard C.
