Mail from Cityclicker Edvin Lindstrom

Edvin sent 30 kitchen matches to me contained in the box by a rubberband. The idea was to see whether all or any would make it from Sweden to the US. They ALL did! A good experiment Edvin and I surprised by the results.…

Received From Devillo Sloan

I don't have much to say about these works as they really speak for themselves. I will say that they show great passion. I can say that they are both fragile and beautiful. the first is a vispo piece and the other an asemic. I didn't know these words until DeVillo came into my life. I imagine that to be true to quite a number of people. I named the first piece "Resurrection" to celebrate DeVillo's return to… Continue

Mail from John Bennett

I mailed John a "happy Fall" piece and he responded in kind. There is a very wonderful 8x11 piece of art in the package but my scanner is smelling strange so I'm stopping using it until hubby gets home. But here's what I could capture and love as much as the art (sorry John). He stuffed a lipton tea bag with treasures. The map, I believe marks in green where he is. Then there's the asemic. Is that right De? The grocery list! I cracked up.

He sent a bunch of delightful Vispo as I am now… Continue

Lisa Iverson turned my innocent CAT into A JUNKIE!!!!!!

First let me say I received fantastic mail from KATERINA, BIFIDUS, ANGIE,and LISA for Cat Day. I'm not scanning it all because I just am off. But I must tell you what happened. Zena is a big FAT 8yr old cat that I took in a few weeks ago. I'm still adjusting to her. She could care less. The mail. When I brought the mail in yesterday, I put my mail art next to my computer like I always do. Zena jumped up on the table and plopped her hefty body down over the mail. I thought that was cute until I… Continue

Peaceful mail from Marie Wintzer

I am lucky enough to have received a triptych from Marie. I truly love that it's asymmetrical. It contains a Haiku.

Dusk at the park, soon

Her velvet steps on the bridge

A crack in the wood This piece is so beautiful, if it were in a store, I couldn't afford it. But that's

what makes mail art so damm amazing. The constant flow of magic to the

mailbox. I'm grateful for my mail-art friends. Thank you Marie.…

Mail from Julian Grant

Julian and I have discussed this. We share a passion for all that is dark. When I make a piece that comes from a

most disturbed place in my psyche, I send it to Julian. Like a mother with a bottle of milk, he responds with something soothing. This beautiful dark piece is my milk. The script is Frankenstein. Perfect. I'll close but just thought I'd share...the book I'm currently reading is Serial Killers, The Method and Madness Of Monsters.…

fREAKIN' OUT OUT THE OLD LADY MAIL FROM Jon Foster

I got this mail. I'm starin' at the address totally freaked. "Why did I send myself mail?.....and what does Jon have to do with it?" Okay, in my defense. I'm on more drugs than most of you have tubes of paint (no, just 8). But it all made sense (thank God) when I turned it over. It was created from my Bad art envelope. Is this kid clever or what!

Thanks Jon. Maybe call me and warn me next time.…
