This is amazing as the little squares are not bigger than 5mm X 5mm. This is the second piece I've received from Rebecca that is this vibrant color yellow that I don't see much in mail art. I rarely use this color but it is so vibrant. I think this is created by using woven strips, but then the squares are not even so I am mystified how she did this. thank you…

Ah Katerina surely knows how to get to a man, Cookies & Bar codes! And right in time as I just deleted all the cookies from my computer, and sent the last one to Val ... without an envelope. (see last photo) Thank you Katerina, I'm happy that they were not half baked!…

I have received amazing and wonderful mail art in my mailbox this week, by Alicia Starr, Cheryl Penn, Christian Sima, Roberto Rios, Mim Scalin and Guido Vermeulen. Thank you all so much, I am really impressed! I will try to blog it asap, have been very busy arranging an exhibition for a very promising young artist!

Well, Seattle is experiencing what the news is calling "Snowpacolypse 2012." Although, coming originally from snow-bound Vermont, it seems a mystery to me that this "light dusting" could cause so much distress. Regardless, everything seems shut down: schools, businesses, bus routes... I am able to walk to my workplace, but the building's heating unit went bust, and after working there a few hours couldn't feel my fingers anymore, and left early. So today I'm working from home, doing some…

Yesterday, I received this funny birthday themed card from Dean Marks. When I flipped it over to examine all of the interesting trivia, I noticed that Dean's upcoming birthday is cleverly intergrated (more than once) I may add. The subliminal…

This boekie arrived yesterday, Jan.17 and I think the postmark says Jan. 11. That means a record-breaking mail delivery from Cheryl! Usually we have been waiting two weeks-15 days for mail art to arrive to and from Greece to South Africa. This sets an all-time record.…

This is an envelope I went to send today.
I glued all these cut-out pictures of stamps from a free monthly stamp booklet onto the envelope and asked the lady at Australia Post to weigh it for me. I got a bit worried when she gave me a strange long look, thinking that perhaps I'd broken the law and I'd get fined for forgery or arrested. I asked her if the envelope was…

The Eisbär brought me some great Gotij Goat Cheese from Katerina (love that stamp, btw). On corrugated cardboard, clouds and earth are only one and they have the warm texture of paper pulp. The very sober YOU amongst the trees turns it into a very powerful vispo piece, in my opinion. Katerina, I now know that you are possibly ever a better Vispoet than you are…
