The most beautiful trash book - made without any trash!!

I received this supersupersuperbeautiful little book from Nancy Bell Scott and I can't even start to tell you how wonderful it is. Each page is so special, the texture is great and you HAVE to look at every detail here:

Wow, thanks everyone, and Svenja for such a great blog and, as everyone is pointing out, your very fine photos. You're hired! Most of this was done in early December and it was finished a week or ten days ago. (Thom, we should have written more at thanksgiving time, cobble cobble.)

There is no answer to the Death=E question, but Lisa's is a good guess. Several of these cards were in an auction box lot, apparently from an old game. No answer cards were among them! This might be the last one--I used to slap them on the wall in odd spots in my antiques shop.

Thanks again very much ~

I think this is a true boekie :-) - lucky you Svenja! So, any answers to the question?

Comment by vizma bruns on January 17, 2012 at 6:57am

wow. I likee boekie, or are trash books not boekies?

I really feel like reaching in and touching this, and your photos have made this almost tactile. Now to look up zauberhaft...

OMG - beautiful. Svenja, you have a great blog too!

Whoa, Nancy -- This looks like it might have been COBbled together.  (That's an inside-compliment for those of you who don't know the history...)  And, great documentation, Svenja--it seems you are another great camera artist--one of many among the ranks of IUOMA-ians I find.

We might have to title this piece "The Money Book" for all the foreign currency that was sacrificed.  It probably makes this artwork worth zillions on the black market!

I will forever be losing sleep to figure out why "death is like the letter 'E.'"  Was there ever any answer to the riddle revealed in your masterpiece?

Oh this is soooo beautiful! I looked at all your other pictures, Svenja, zauberhaft indeed. Such great work, Nancy!

This is a beauty! Dark and mysterious, but amazing....'must have textures that tantalize!

Bravo Nancy! Thank you for the blog, Svenja!
