Why I am involved in Mail-Art:: I love making things tangible and the dance between the embodied, digital, and analog worlds.

I first started making and selling watercolor cards in highschool. Since then my art practice has ebbed and flowed across mediums – bamboo sculpture, watercolor, print making, immersive experience - but always returning to a love for holdable paper things.

I have a mail art club called Portals of Place where I take my plein air watercolor landscape paintings, scan them, separate the colors, risograph print each color one at a time, then send the risograph prints, letters, and material explorations to new friends around the world.
