Another comment I just wrote made me realize how central the myth of Achilles is to all this - the protection but also the inevitable, one spot of weakness or vulnerability. Didn't Cheryl just do a book about the Trojan Turtle or something? (btw Dark Wall put a big turtle in Skin Diving - in what is now known as The Toxis Pool - y'all didn't catch that turtle did you? Now, ha ha, you never will...
