You are using more and more smileys DV, I'm worried now. It was Bob Denver, yes. I think Gillan's Island has even reached France. Trivia: since the launch of the series there has always been at least one place on earth where it is being run, ever since.

I think the guy who played Maynard was Bob Denver? His really significant work was "Gilligan's Island" ;))

I wonder what our Bifidus thinks about this. Your teeth are fine, David.

This is very cool though it does remind me that Maynard is no longer with us which makes me feel quite long in the tooth.

OK, I kind of get it now. Well, sorta.

And indeed, I don't think I have ever done any haptic poetry? I'm not even in the haptic group! That also added to my puzzlement when I got the card.

Maynard G. Krebs (on the Dobie Gillis show) was a satirical representation of the Beatniks and by extension "craziness" of avant garde art. I think RCBZ is using it here to mock the current iteration of haptic poetry. And since when are YOU do haptic poetry anyway?

In fact I didn't get the Maynard reference. GA kindly told me on the blog it was strictly geezer Americana :-)) I'll have to google him...

OK, an absolutely brilliant take on haptic poetry that only RCBZ could produce. Do you get the Maynard reference? "That is I think I disagree..." but all the same you gotta luv it.
