So glad to hear you are up and about.  Do not feel pressure to get caught up anytime soon.

Listen to your intuition and give yourself time to heal.  This is so hard.  My partner Roberto is dealing with a back injury now and has been for months - it is such a challenge to be less "productive" than we are accustomed to.  Trust the process.  Wish I could come over to visit and bring you a homemade muffin or some little treat.  Thinking of you, Debra

Toni, hope you're healed from your fall. I usually go down in an icy parking lot at least once per winter. It hurts!

Hi Toni, that series of cards was made on gesso'ed card stock and then the first texture layer was applied with texture paste through background stencils of one sort or another.  After the texture layer dried I used spray Inks.  I'm using Aladine inks from France but they aren't as available in the US. (Deserres in Canada carries them.)  They are like Distress spray inks from Ranger. The flower is from a napkin.  Then I did some shading with Inktense pencils and water brush and finally a little stamping.

Thank you for the awesome retro mail art collage with a Coke machine and an Air Force man!  Both my husband and I were in the Air Force, so this is perfect for our whole family!  We both left the Air Force in the 1990s when bases were closing and they actually paid people to get out.  Unfortunately, our relatives did not understand and gave us grief about leaving the military.  My late Aunt actually called me a "dumb shit" for getting out (never mind that I had a small baby to take care of)  and my husband's father complained about him leaving the Air Force for years.  The way my husband and I saw it, one knows that they are dead serious about downsizing if they are paying people to leave.  Despite everything that our relatives said, neither one of us have ever once regretted leaving the Air Force. - Gail Anderson

The texture on the rose card was molding paste through a stencil, then spray inks and the rose was a decoupaged napkin.

Just wanted to let you know that I received your "Oh! Happy Day! card today and love it!  As for my maiden name of Coots, I have been researching some family history on Ancestry.com.  Through their family tree feature, I traced that part of our family back to Scotland.  Originally, the name was Coutts.  Then there was a huge family fight, and some of the members of the Coutts family came to the United States and the name was changed to Coots.  I remember my Dad telling me about this years ago, but it didn't seem real to me until I saw it for myself in the family tree.

All of our immediate family has taken the DNA test from Ancestry.  Earlier this year, my husband was contacted by a half brother named Michael.  We had heard rumors about the existence of a kid outside of the family fathered by my husband's Dad, but until the DNA tests were taken, we didn't have any proof.  Michael has met my father-in-law and hopes to meet our family this summer.  Our family is talking about going out to California on vacation, but we haven't made any definite plans just yet.  My father-in-law and his wife live in Goleta, California, which is right outside Santa Barbara.  Michael and his family live in Madera, California, which is about 4 hours away from Goleta.

My husband will be home soon, so I better sign off.  Sorry that I haven't made any ATCs for the Facebook group, but work has been busier than usual.  However, I do enjoy looking at the ATCs that other people in the group have done. Talk to you later. - Gail Anderson
