Absolutely beautiful Rebecca, both sides of the card. Great and lavish use of gold on Frieda's portrait. I will have to do a bit of research to find out what it says on the other side.
I guess it is Ducht, please do not tell me, I enjoy doing it, like solving puzzles.
I forgot to say that soon it shall be on my door gallery and slide show and also that I noticed you put mail art on your window. Great! we are two doing this now. Have you seen Andy Geezer's My Real Wall group? that is a place you can also put your window up as I do with the door.
Rebecca, thanks! you have taken more trouble to display the bookie than it took me to do it. There may be a sequel, I am going back to Collioure next week. I shall think of Machado this time.
Your Frieda portrait keeps being admired on the door.
Thanks Rebecca for letting me know the envelopes arrived. I posted them on 3 different days, but it seems the postal offices make piles and then send ity away... Take your time in dealing with all you get. I know how much time it takes when doing a project.
Bonjour! From Mij to Jij: Sorry to cause confusion. Please DO blog the repetitions piece. I consider that things that I send to Mail Art Exhibitions ARE bloggable, as they are 'public, while things sent to individual people are 'personal communications' that I request stay un-blogged. Hope Repeitions is going well. Mij
I haven't found the text identification that goes with the 'cowboy pages.' I like them a lot, but I'm wondering if it's a book or an art journal, or something of that nature. Tell? --Linda
Hi Rebecca - I've been thinking about you lately - apologies for not keeping touch more - life & family etc etc keeps getting in the way of all the other things I'd rather be doing. Happy Birthday to you too = although a month late! Hope it's not too cold for you at the moment - we've had some very hot humid days - it's a little better today - will be better at keeping in touch............take care
We're both great - hope you two are too! Vic is playing golf, keeping the garden going, looking after the livestock (we now have 3 chooks - chickens), lots of goldfish & some edible fish. Looks like I have to make a piece for an International Exhibition in Taiwan next year - 9 of us are entering as a group. Along with other challenges & making baby quilts & others - all keeps me busy. Just had a challenge on FB - 3 pieces x 5 days & you have to nominate an artist each day. I managed it! Good to hear from you -look forward to seeing Spirit of the Forest pieces.
Rebecca--many thanks for the wonderfully produced documentation booklet for Maritime Mail Art. It was such fun to participate in these two projects last year.
Hi Rebecca--just to let you know that the doodle pages will take awhile. I should have them to you in about 4 weeks. If this interrupts any plans for them, let me know and I'll send them out this week.
Glad the seeds arrived intact. We've had the first two sunny days in a month, to continue through most of Monday, and I intend to sow our vegetable garden in raised beds, finally, as well as install a pair of orange wallflowers bought at a nursery this afternoon in large planters by our front door.
Thank you for posting my Philosophy of Tea mail art and letting us know that you and the family are well in the midst of this calamity. The colors in your ‘blog reply’ are simpatico with the color mood of my card—purples-blue green-yellow orange—UTTERLY wonderful! I have dabbled in the egg tempera medium, so I appreciate the thought and labor that went into the painting. That cat seems so focused on the bird—contemplating breakfast? FYI: In case you have not seen it, there is another quote on the last ‘page’ of the card.Stay well!
