Dean, wonderful postcard!!! Thank you so very much. "Happiness is here and now" for sure. This one's going up on the wall where I can see it every day. The reverse is very nice, too. Love the little stamp about the clock group and leap year--very funny and very true.
  • stripygoose

    Great stuf - thanks Dean!

Dean is there a list of people signed on for Banana Day?
  • The Blessed Father

Dean   I went to my P.O.Box yesterday, your card still hasn't arrived.  I received mail from Spain, Canada, and the US but nothing from France.  Rick

  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

Dean, your Banana Mail is absolutely the BEST EVER! You are truly In Seine, and that's a compliment. if you will let me know when you think everyone has received their Banana Mail from you I'll post a photo of myself wearing the item you posted -- it's quite attractive I think you'll agree.
  • The Blessed Father

I received your postcard. . . I wonder if your last card got lost in France or the US. Thanks again.  Rick

  • The Blessed Father

I just noticed that the missing postcard was the one I just received. . . . it must have been in postoffice limbo for 2 months. It makes you wonder "what the hell happened"   Rick

  • Mim Golub Scalin

Card arrived, stamp not cancelled but it was U.S. so where were You? Thanks for thinking of me, and is HE still your neighbor? And is HE still doing his one person show?

  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

Hi Dean -- thanks for the Banana Day After-Card! I think something might have fallen off the back of the card, though. There's a "Solevita Nectar de banane" label, above that "Thank you for making a difference," and above that a bunch of glue! Maybe that's a new trend in mail art -- just put the glue on and forget all the pesky bits of paper! Anyway, it looks almost like bunny ears, only upside down (the glue, that is). Thanks for the great card!

I saw some of your art on Sarah Churchill's youtube channel. Very cool stuff!

I'm just getting into mail art, so if you would PM me your address I will add it to my list :)

  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

Dean, you amazing artist, you've been blogged!

  • Callie 'CreaTEAvity' Carling

*hehe* I think it's already too late for me to quit! Thank you for the lovely warm welcome x

  • Lydia Smith

Thanks Dean for your post!  Lydia

  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

Dean, thank you so much for the thank you card (does this become an endless loop of thanks). Very nice "Dean & Son Ltd. of London" -- hoo, I just noticed you gave me a new title: "International Mail-Artist." I just may have to have business cards made up that say that on them. I also note the "No. 1375" in your stamp -- does that really mean you've sent out 1375 pieces of mail-art? That's pretty incredible. Although if you figure at least 6-7 pieces a week x 52 would be almost 400, so I guess it would mount up pretty fast. Sheesh!

Dean, je t'aime my mini double caramel chocolate card. All your additions are marvelous, especially the puzzle pieces! and it's funny that there's an ad for "Le Pop Corn Qui S'éclate a la Française!" Because when I'm in France I look everywhere for popcorn and can't find it. Maybe the French are coming around?
  • Heleen de Vaan

Thank you very  much, Dean, merci beaucoup, for your wonderful donkeyzebrahorse!
And for the rest of your collage, of course!

The complete piece of mail art I've posted there

OMG Dean, the "Banana Hammer" is fantastico! Now if only I had invented it, we could call it the Hanner Banana Hammer. Thank you so much -- when I get some really tough bananas I'll know how to get into the devils. Also I love the painted bananas on the "back" of the card. How do you get those vein-like lines into the paint?

  • DKeys

oh my! I was thrilled before I realized the whole sandwich bag opened!! love it all=particularly the broken thermometer that is now on the fridge (i love fridge magnets) where is my birthday knight in shining armor?

  • Toni Hanner -- tonipoet

I cannot WAIT to smash paint with a hammer!
