hey Ruud, recently I did a search on Robin Crozier and saw the Memo(random)/memo(ry) listed here, I don't know if I gave you details about that project? Feel free to copy and paste this into that group. I had visited Jean Brown's archive and she suggested to Robin to do something around the Random name of mine and that project is what he came up with, he used my name better than I ever have. Robin would mail out a filled form with each new blank inquiry, but along the way he would write down each sheet into a small black notebook and when full would mail them to Jean. If you go to the Getty Research center and type in Robin's name you'll see them listed as 'mail art notebooks'. Keep bugging me, I think I scanned in the ones I have and could add them to this group.

Kan al een tijdje geen foto's meer opladen, geeft steeds o bytes, terwijl ik nog wel foto's kan posten op de groepen. Is er een technisch probleem of heb ik limiet bereikt van oplaadmogelijkheden?

Probeer nog steeds te begrijpen dat ik 60 ben geworden, mijn vader stierf na zijn zestigste, zal daar wel iets mee te maken hebben.

Yes, I did get in touch with Ed eventually. That was about 6 or 8 years ago and I did get in touch with him although I am not sure which of the many methods I use actually got to him!

Glad to see it arrived safe and sound. Thank you for showing the picture of the envelope; I love the addition by the Mail Company: the wave-like cancellation stamps.

I don't know what the standards are for posting on the general photo gallery, but I'm writing to ask that some of the current postings be withdrawn as inappropriate for this forum. I don't even really know how to ask for what I would like to have done. I just feel that images that are not simply sexual, but grossly sexual be withdrawn or not posted in the first place. I don't believe I have the right to say to another what he/she may create as art, but as a member of IUOMA, I want to feel proud of what is presented here.

There are other subjects that may be called inappropriate, but at this time, current images are what concerns me.   --Linda French

Yes, it is interesting to stumble across our pasts in something like Niels Lomholt's online archive......cannot think of any other museum that is getting archival material up there where it can be seen.  In my experience, I can get a name and a title, but no visual.  What about your experience?

Of course, IUoMA on-line overcomes this shortcoming of museums.

Dear Ruud,
Nice to look through Robin Crozier's "Memo(Random)/Memo(ry)". I have to get off my lazy ass and send you the ones I have. That project was a request of Jean Brown's to Robin, it was at the timme I ws visiting her often and she mentioned my name (Random) and Robin turned it into a project, I was not smart enough at the time to create such a witty and fantastic piece, just like Robin to have done such a mailart masterpiece.

Thinking about what you said yesterday about IUOMA on Farcebook (did you delete that comment? I can't seem to find it), perhaps you could tell me -- and other people to who might not be on Facebook and/or even aware of the existence of IUOMA Farcebook --

IN WHAT WAYS IS IUOMA FARCEBOOK DIFFERENT FROM THIS VERSION OF IUOMA?

In other words, what, if anything, are we missing there that is not here?
