Welcome to the IUOMA. Why is your name UrnWhileULearn? Somehow sounds commercial, but also could be seen as creative. Just currious about the idea behind the name......

Learning is always good, it is the basis for a lot of things. Glad you joined the IUOMA. There is a lot to learn and to experience from all the people who joined in here.

Hi, I'm a student from the University of Toronto and currently exploring art multiples, including mail art, which I find very interesting and a lot of fun! Will you exchange a piece of mail art with me?

  • Sheryll Karen Venzon

Thank you, I'll send a mailart to your address right away!!! See you in the mail!

Yes, your "name" sounded commercial and I thought, hmmm, a bit-o-junk, but it appears you really do want to exchange mail art! Great. I'm the mentor for January, but I think perhaps you won't need any mentoring. See you in the mail!

There seems to be an inconsistency in your city and zip code. I'm showing Beacon for the zip, and Brooklyn for the street address. Actually, Bushwick, where my daughter lives. So where do I send you Mail Art, U? Send me Mail Art (contact info on my IUOMA page) with your return address and I'll send mail in return.

Are there any Ray Johnsons around for $5?  And did Andy Warhol ever get one for $5?  The other day I saw a Ray Johnson letter going for $150.  So maybe that is inflation for the last three and a half decades.  What did it cost to mail a letter overseas in 1973?

Things have gone up so much my dog can no longer afford to eat.
