The following envelope has a funny story. I received a note from the Dutch post company, who said I had to pay € 1,08, because a received piece of mail was said to have only one stamp instead of the necessary three stamps.
I was curious to know which mail they meant, so I looked it up via the added "Portincidentnummer" ('postage incident number'). And to my surprise I saw this:
(In which they mixed the sender (= afzender) and the receiver (= geadresseerde), but that's an other story). It was a large envelope from Ruud Janssen, which was delivered a few days before. With enough postage on it!
But the stamps were camouflaged among the colourful painting. So I wrote a polite letter to the post company to tell that I thought they had made a mistake. Which costed me (because of the weight, a print-screen of that web page and a scanned printed image of the envelope in addition) two stamps :-)
And I received a letter, full of apologies! So due to their mistake I received some more mail. I hope that the postal worker who had checked the postage won't be fired, because I really think it hard to find the stamps. Can you see them?
Rudd, I also like both and I usually send a card in an envelope too protect the work on the card. And most of the time the envelopes received are just as creative and interesting as the card itself.
