Flattery will get you ...everywhere.
Her Majesty DOES coment -- she just doesn't use her own name here. What do you think her nom de'art" postale is?
Thanks Val. You are a very kind man, a gentleman and a schooler. (or something like that.) The Queen will be amused. She reads your blogs, but never makes comments.
I'll ask the other Herman & his Hermits to do a "No tea today" vinyl collage the next time they drop by
Great Tour de France vinyls. The Queen had to cancel our tea appointment. I'm sure you can come up with a vinyl; "No tea today, the Queen has gone away."
Looking forward to seeing them rip by in Ripon.
Le Tour de France starts this weekend...in Yorkshire, England (of course!) Here is my Vinyl Art tribute to le Tour. We start with the start, or le Grand Depart, as it is known,. Dean has gone to England and will be watching this stage:
After 2 days of racing round the North of England, le Tour arrives in London. It goes past Buckingham Palace. Dean will be takinG tea with the Queen there. Besides Dean and the Queen, this is what the riders will see in London:
After 3 days in England, le Tour arrives in France (by ferry). Here's some of the riders en route to Sigean where I have invited them in for a cup of tea or a cold beer. (Alas, Dean will not be here then).
After 3 weeks, le Tour ends in Paris where -- guess what? -- Dean will be there to watch it (in his favourite spot). Here's le Tour as it approaches Paris:
All we need to know is where Dean will be in Paris -- then we can watch him and le Tour as it finishes.
WAVE TO YOUR IUOMA FRIENDS, DEAN!
Gina: you might have started us off here on something new -- I dread to think what Dean will come up with!
Dean: the yellow disc was by the Yellow Orchestra and the A side is called 'Computer Game'. It's an extended single album.
Just perusing old magazines and came across this, looked them up and its still going. Please check this out http://www.sleeveface.com/
Bonjour Dean! No, Erni's "Enfants des Paris" are not on this record. It's by...er I'll have to go to the Srudio and find out.
I never sleep, Lorella. I just day dream abouy (Vinyl & Mail) Art. The vinyl was already coloured; i bought it in Maastricht when I was there last week with Suus in Mokum (& in Maastricht)
