Year of the Golden Rabbit Mail Art Call

Year of the Golden Rabbit Mail Art Call

I was born in the last year of the golden rabbit (5 cycles ago) so this will be my second.  In honor of that, and because I love rabbit-themed art, I am hosting a year-long Year of the Golden Rabbit mail art call.

lol - There was a time back in the 70's when I decided that I should be able to kill an animal if I was going to eat one.  I chose a chicken (fish I can do also - much less freaky because they are less like us I suppose...?).  I also ate a snake when I lived in HK - very salty (eel, actually, I suppose).  I did apologize to the chicken and the fish, as well as thank them for feeding me.  Not sure they cared, though it made me feel a little better.  I was trying to get in touch with my native american roots. (!)

The pie crust is not hard but takes some patience... it's worth it, though.  The store-bought stuff is CRAP in comparison.  ;)

That's one way virtual connections are frustrating, Rose - hard to fit the pie into the router cable! ;)

if you listen carefully thats the sound of my fork tapping on my expectant plate.

Kill a chicken?  Well I've never had to do that but I guess by the time I had finished apologising the bird would have died of old age.

I admit it I am shit at making pastry and have been guilty of some disasters in the past, so come on Carla, tell me your grannies secret, I promise I won't tell anyone else !~)

LOL Rose - you crack me up. ;)

Roberto - Thanks!  That's a great one!

Rod - I've eaten rabbit before but not since I've been an adult - rabbit stew was something my grandmother cooked once in a while (really tasty I have to admit) - she was born and raised in Virginia on a farm.  She also taught me how to kill a chicken for dinner!  And how to make pie crust properly.  ;)
