Thank you all for the moon photos. I wish I could do as well but I'll just enjoy your images. Happy Solstice. I'll try to be awake and hope for clear skies on the 20-21 Dec.

Oh, yes, Judy, I just read about that. For those of you in the States, Dec.20 to 21 will be a great moon-watching night. Winter Solstice, without all of last year's snow...I hope! And December 13th is meteor shower night...after midnight me thinks. If only we shall have clear skies?

Listening to billy holiday...for Laurence:
"....I'll be seeing you,
In all the old familiar places,
That this heart of mine embraces,
All day through.....
In that small cafe;
The park across the way;
The children's carousel;
The chestnut trees;
The wishin' well...
I'll find you
In the morning sun
And when the night is new.
I'll be looking at the moon,
But I'll be seeing you.

Did I, or did I not say: "get out under that night sky", hmmm?
Well, providing that the weather is clear, or you live in Greece,
Sunday evening is special for the November Full Moon.
Now, it will not be "blue" in color, but it will be nice...
November 21, 2010, "Blue Moon" woth Pleiades.....

Hello MoonPeople,
time to get out under that night sky and wait for the moon to set (way after midnight) and then before dawn, 4-5 a.m.or so, look up in the sky!
Tonight is falling-stars-night :-)
"The Leonid meteor shower of 2010 is peaking this week and the best time to see the sky show is now.
The annual Leonids should be at their best through Nov. 18, according to skywatching experts. Avid meteor gazers graced with clear skies may see between 15 and 20 meteors per hour.
The best time to try to see the Leonids are in the last two or three hours before sunrise, when the moon has set."
The rain clouds are gone, the Greek skies are clear...
now only to be awake at 4am?
