LOGO's for the IUOMA overview

New gift from Jack Latterman for IUOMA (dec 2019)

received this wonderful gift from Jack Latteman (USA):

More Logo Fonts for the IUOMA in 2019

Made some more logo's for the IUOMA with several fons. On facebook I already posted them to see which one the networks likes the most. If that fits my views, that one will be used on some PR-products like stickers, paperwork, rubberstamps and even T-Shirts. We will see what wins. If you want to leave your comment with your views, you are welcome to do so.

IUOMA and FLUXUS

There is a connection that only few realize. I wrote about it, but is somewhere on the Internet. The Fluxus Score that creates the word IUOMA was the start in 1988. Nowadays IUOMA is a word used worldwide and many feel connected to it.

The objects are: small erasers with letters on them.

4 preposals IUOMA for fonts

For proposals for Front to be used on objects. First tests will be sent into the network when they are ready. February 2019.

Of the two drawings submitted by the Mediadesign student I prefer the one without the globe. The big oval has many possibilities I would like to see that one developed further.
That drawing with the oval inspired me to make this sketch with postal boxes and a mail carrier.

I prefer the balanced nature of the first image. I was always very fond of the hands & envelopes IUOMA sticker The Sticker Dude made - I think the concept of union, of us all actually joined together harmoniously in mail art th

rough IUOMA needs to be articulated in any good design.
Here's a little character made of the initials for you ... he needs an envelope crown or something but I have to dash ...

"The second one is a globe where the letters Iuoma are written arround."

A student from the Mediadesign department wants to know which of the two logo's above is most liked by the IUOMA-members. One has a large Oval O in the middle. The second one is a globe where the letters Iuoma are written arround. Please respond within a few days so the student gets some feedback. Thank you! Ruud

the book is already 20 times downloaded. Nobody ordered a hardcopy version. Seems these hardcopy versions will become quite rare in the future. Will order a few myself for the TAM-Archive collection.....

Hi Rudd: I am not seeing anything besides your text for 2 new books. Is there a link somewhere? Thanks, Rachel

Two new books
On the Webshop from TAM-Publications (see besides this text) you will notice that two new books bave been published this month:

1. The lecture I gave at the Stendhal Gallery in New York was based on two sources: The essay I wrote for the Gallery and a slideshow I used at the Willem de Kooning Art Academy. I combined these two sources. The lecture was recorded on video by 3 sources (Mark Bloch, USA - Larry Miller - USA, Cecil Touchon - Canada). To make the sources available I made a 110 pages book out of these. Download of the files is currently for free.

2. The IUOMA was 20 years old. The period 1988-2008 is documented with a book containing texts by Ruud Janssen, Vittore Baroni, Wilma Duguay, Tulio Restrepo, Geert de Decker and John held Jr. Lots of illustration from the rich history of the IUOMA. Also for this book the material the download will be free for the first time.
