Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
I have only been involved in creating and sending mail art for a short time, I enjoy it greatly. I can not express the joy I feel that when I send something out to someone, whom at the time I do not know, can create a moment of though fullness that something was specially made for them, and that a feeling of connectedness is shared. Sharing a bright spot in one's busy day.

So if you like, feel free to send me a bit of art and I will return a bit of my art as well

So my boyfriend has broken up with me....................kinda sad, so in order for me to get pass this and my emotions I am making a series of mail art cards titled " Tears of the Heart" I know it is some what of a personal thing to create, but that is what art is, a personal journey to be shared with others. Who Inspires Your Art.

Posted on May 22, 2011 at 5:40pm 7 Comments

So I was thinking of who or what inspires your art.

Here is what I mean, I started dating,( 3 months ago ), this wonderful guy, he is kind and considerate and, ( ok enough with how I can go on about him, lol ) thoughtful. We were sitting on the balcony watching the sunset just over the house tops, and he says to me how much he loves sunsets, I too love them I replied. Which started me thinking as to how would I make or do sunsets in my art.

I took out my paint and…

Mail Art Journal

Posted on April 20, 2011 at 1:00am 4 Comments

So I came to realize that I was running out of room on my french memory board that I made to show off the cool art I have received.

So I decided to make my own Mail Art Journal, using one sheet of 22 inches by 30 inches sheet of water color paper and converting it into a 8 by 10 journal with 16 pages. The idea came from Teesha Mores web site on how to create a journal like that. It turned out really nice.

i'm good.

would be nicer without all the humidity, but you can't have everything! ;-D

here's what i'm up to:

i have two main projects going:

free-art-foundation.blogspot.com

deadmailart.blogspot.com

both of which have groups here on iuoma.

FREE ART is asking for "Urban Exploration" submissions during July,

if you see something interesting around town during your normal routine,

take a snapshot and email it to me:

moomoosuperhero@gmail.com

and i will put it in on permanant display in our museum.

Mail of the Living Dead is currently in the process of creating a

"Zombie Encyclopedia" using add & pass as a medium.

i've stuffed around 20 enveloped with blank pages and some

zombie literature to send out into the mail art world to be

passed around to 12 people then returned, and compiled

into a larger book, The Mail of the Living Dead Encyclopedia!

the last is a smaller subproject i took over from Valentine Mark Herman,

mail-art-sisters.blogspot.com, we accept self-portraits (as abstract or realistic as you want to be)

I share your frustration with the Canadian mail strike - I have a number of items I need to send to Canada but am waiting for peace to break out (if ever)
