Such a beautiful linocut! And I also like Cariens horse, looks like a Knabstrupper.

I am glad to see all these beautiful horses and applaud the St Francis call! I shall join in with the stories of 'my' birds, squirrels, snails, foxes etc that live around here, South London.  Would you believe one neighbour who says to be a Chistian and makes a lot of going to church, I will not mention which but it is a big one, probable the biggest, wants the neighbourhood to put poison down to kill the few innocent field mice that live in our gardens? Because he saw a dead one in the road. Probably murdered by a cat. Fortunately the other neighbours said no. I keep quoting St Francis at the nasty one!

And here is a horse for you

A lino cut of me on Chuncaco, a friend's horse in Argentina. It is a criollo, a race developed there for heavy work.

Kyrgystan Post has issued beautiful stamps, among them horse stamps like these:

Year of the Horse:

Year of the Horse

(But today it still is the Year of the Ox, and from February it will be the Year of the Tiger.

St. Petersburg. This work of the sculptor Klodt is installed on a bridge called Anichkov Bridge.
