Finally, this 'old' feel mail art from Portugal. It was a box full of surprises. Obrigada, Luís!

Luís, I will take a picture of the 'box of senses' next week and publish it here. Sorry for the incredible delay.

Illustrated Dragon Teeth Box.

The picture on the box alludes to stainless steel spikes they call "dragon's teeth". It is a practical architectural cladding solution, designed to make people's permanence uncomfortable on a smooth surface that can be used by the homeless people.

Even if it doesn't seem like it, is a form of passive protection and defense. The first uses I saw of this way of feeling and making felt, were in the application on wooden doors in walled enclosures fortresses in order to prevent their overthrow by combat elephants.

We've been afraid of war elephants since at least Hannibal's time and we've been afraid of homeless people since at least the birth of Christ, but it's a growing feeling.

And the Sense of Smell.

Carien I once sent something to you with this group subject, that seems to have not been published. I take this opportunity to leave some images of the things that I remember sending.

I got a textile treat from Ruth Giles. I love all the little details you put into this work, Ruth. It feels nice, too. Thank you very much!
