Guido, that was powerfully good.  Those socks are awesome!  Good work Zois!

Thanks, Theresa, for the skeleton!

I have just finished some Day of the Dead earrings - these guys just couldn't stay in their coffins!  They still had too much to talk about. ;)

THE BLACK CURTAIN, poem and painting

The black curtain falls asleep

in the night of melted dreams

Glimpses of light resist the corpse

in the room of mourning

When morning comes

tears have traced her name

MUM

Laughter breaks the spell of darkness

says my uncle, my mother’s brother

He tells a joke to chase away the shadows

The sun enters the room

Sparkles of light are dancing around the corpse

She is leaving home

Now she has left even her grave

The cemetery killed its last inch worms

in the incinerator of final recall

Bones grow feathers, in birds anyway!

Just got a message from my Tchernobyl friend and former co-worker (see earlier mails connected with the painted envelope «let’s write the obituary together».

She hired a lawyer to sue the government!

So I proposed a lunch meeting this month between both of us, be prepared for all options !!!

Those socks are genius and I love that there is a feather poised to tickle the heel!

Guido. have you seen the film Marwencol? the ceremonial burial of peace image reminds me of the characters created by the artists in the film. It's well worth your time if you can get a copy of it.

Diane, yes. it's small. my son gave me the cheesest little figures years ago and i sat them out side. each year they change and i've grown to love them more and more. Here is his mate.
