In France, postal rates will increase in 2026, as they did last year.

The price of an international letter weighing up to 20 grams, to any country in the world, will increase from €2.10 to €2.25. This seems exorbitant to me... and discouraging.

I was told today by my Post person that our postage abroad will go up soon, to £3.40 for a 100 grams letter.             

I wonder how much would be to keep carry pigeons...?

Did a collage when at an artists retreat that focused on post offices.  I collected a number of pictures, and took pictures of post office.  Had such a great time and learned a great deal.  Here is a picture of one of my pieces.

Would be happy to create mail art using other pieces of the project.  Send me a request, and I will send to you.

Sadly this is more common these days. Its all about MONEY and public service (which is what it should be) is low on their list of priorities.

Fortunately, in France, I don't yet have this kind of problem. But the overall service is deteriorating (especially parcels, which get lost, and when you make a complaint, the staff are aggressive), and becoming more and more expensive (2.10 euros for a letter up to 20g to the world)

People no longer write on paper, so the French Post Office is concentrating on businesses.

Our UK post office is trying to do away with letters!

The mail art I send to the USA gets sent back. It is our side, not the US post office as it comes back too quickly to have gone there and back and it has no Nixie.

It as happened three times already. 

Has anybody else experience the same?

I just traveled to Vietnam. I went to Ho Chin Min 2 days ago and visited the touristy post office. I got postcards there and sent myself a postcard. I want to see postmark.
