Laurence, I'm just glad you're here in whatever way works best for you. The photos you've added are terrific. Are those your paintings? They're marvelous, whoever did them. My mail art seems to expand and contract in ways I've never imagined since I first sent that piece to you as you can see in this example I sent out for IUOMA cat day last month:

Stay encouraged, Bifidus

I was thinking of running a mailart night at mine some time. I have 3 people signed up (but a very tiny house!) I'll send the invite as soon as I work out the best date

You are doing lovely work-the installation is wonderful! I'm just coming off 10 years where all my elderly family past away; my mom in 2005. I'm not carrying much joy with me at present but I hope, like you, my creativity re-ignites soon! Best wishes, Diana

It is good to know you like Japanese traditional culture. Let me know if you want to know something about it.

I like western culture rather, so I have been back and forth in between USA most of my life. It has been hard to be there in terms of their immigration issues though. I like western contemporary art and I hope to be getting involved with it more.

Dear Laurence, thank you very much indeed for your friendship and kind words.
I think by cognition and communication we construct our world. At that the how of our conduct is decisive. And mail art is a good communication media, life way.
Thank you for your friendship and best greetings

To Laurence,
Wow, thank you for saying that. I have been doing writing, photography, and painting in different schools, but thinking about making a living I also do book art, so I start experimenting doing handmade stationaries to sell. I am still learning from different books and also hand craft artists what I see at a fair over here in Japan as well.

And thank you for your friend request. I accepted.
Nice to meet you.
Tomoe

Thank you, Laurence, I usually put my mail art into envelopes to please the Greek postal clerks. They don't want to be resposible for tearing my collages, etc. but i try to add a bit of art on the envelopes!

Our weather here "in the south" was cloudy, but clear tonight and it is warm because of the winds from the sahara! Tomorrow i am hoping for sunshine to go to the seaside (my shack is 22 minutes away in Halkidiki).

Sending some Greek sunshine and warmth your way!

So glad that you liked the mail art surprise. Now is there snow in London or has it passed over to the Continent? Take care and look something in the mail to you soon,
Agapi,
Katerina

Well, Laurence, maybe we are NOT closing it! you never know how things will go around here. That is why it is so much fun. Anyway, dear friend, you may still come by the "Katerina Nikoltsou" group...we are a bunch of cats... and one dog, Snooky!
