HI Cracker, We are no longer in London- live in the wilds of Cheshire now and have been for the last 13 years!  Hope your girls have a fab trip. Our Archie is off to uni in Brighton too so we know how you feel about the fledglings flying the nest! Cheers!   Michael

No kidding??  Imagine that.  Thanks much for your submission.  Hope all is well with you in your corner of the country.  I gave your email address to another student who graduated in '80.  Hopefully, he's in touch.  Later, CrackerJack!

Yes, after three years at SCAD, I continued on as a graphic artist for ten years until my return to school to pursue healthcare - I got tired of eeking out a living and not enjoying what I was doing.  I completed my undergrad degree in health sciences and my graduate work in Public Administration (I honestly thought at the time that my calling was as a public servant).  I now design and support clinical software for the surgical setting; I've done this now for 18 years and I enjoy what I do tremendously.

How interesting that you remembered my desire to go into art therapy - my stints over the years include teaching art to developmentally-challenged, the profoundly hearing-impaired, the terminally ill, and the elderly; these have been among my most rewarding experiences.

Regarding old classmates, yes, I have been in touch with many of them via Facebook over the past few years; some of them from Art Club.  You might remember Warren Johnson (graduated '80) - he lives not far from me in the Bay Area although we have yet to get together.  Warren's an art and marketing director for an engineering company in Chico.  David Butson (graduated in '82) went on to become a very successful art director for a publishing firm based in Hong Kong; he still lives there and now has his own businesses.

Thanks for your snail mail address ... I'll have to get my creative juices flowing - I'm about all dried up - LOL!  Until then, my email address is wedevaney@comcast.net.

I'm so glad to have connected with you after all these years - you were such an inspiration to me and a friend.  BTW, I had NO idea you sang - and you're pretty good!

Warm regards,

Bill

How nice to find you on here after all these years.  Yes, I am a blast from your past and have often thought about you over the years.  I was the first student at Bellevue West to have a mail art show in 1980-81 ... and a scholarship recipient to SCAD.  Have I jarred your memory any?  I'm glad to see you're still CrackerJack Kid.

Hi Cracker Jack !

Am headed to Chicago today to hang a Mailart show at the Art Institute,

will mail out some stampsheets & such to you as soon as I get back on Wednesday.

Really excited abt. Ginny's book ... I wrote a small thing on Contemporary Fluxus stamps.. unfortunately very incomplete, could use a lot of research in that area.

Looking forward to our correspondence.

Hi. Crackerjack...so happy belated birthday is in order:) love the stamps. Tha mail art romances piece was made by the enchanting david stafford. I loved it so much I framed it and hung it on the wall. I admire people who can make great stamps. Those i have made have been pretty limited. Will send you mail if you send me your address. Hi CJK, Longa whila notta heara.

Yes I made artistamp back in the days when printers were dot-matric.  I used to print out the stamps and on the same sheet print the BASIC programme that generated the stamp.  If you want copies (I have them (somewhere) scanned ready for ink-jet printing) send me mail address.

Best greets

Dear friend,

thank you very much for your lines.

In the moment only some remarks back as my pc shuts down often and I have to try to give it to a repair shop this morning ...

I have had in the cellar an etching press of my own where I did "high art" etchings ...and artistamp etchings.

In the meantime for several reasons my art is only mail art done with my deepest credo by the assistance above all of my pc. And I have donated my etching press with all my equipment to a school where one of my grandchildren goes..

This for the moment...

Thanks, best greetings and "auf Wiedersehen"

HeMi

Hallo Cracker Jack Kid,

thank you for your lines and the interest you have in one of my older stamped works.

"A long time ago" I had/participated in mandala exhibitions. For this I did among other the piece you refer to. Michael Leigh has got a copy of a photo of it on a postcard, I think.

Gladly I will send you a postcard too.

Here and there I read with much interest about your activities, especially in the music sphere, and I remember ...

I wish you and yours all the best!
